Two die in embankment car crash

Two men died when their car left a road in Stoke-on-Trent and rolled down an embankment.

Paramedics were called to the A500 between Hanley and Tunstall at about 2240 BST on Thursday.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said the car, which was found upside down, had suffered "extensive damage".

Both men, who have not yet been identified, were found dead at the scene.
